*Update
Jan 18, 2012
I'm off to Kanpur, India for the Indian Institute of
Technology's Techkriti festival where
Lynn Maharas
and I will be installing
Ghost Train.
However, it just wouldn't be right to travel all the way to India without
putting some work up in the streets. So in anticipation I am having a bon voyage exhibition
at
Holland Project for one-night only.
If you are in Reno come by this Thursday from 7-11
to check out a handful of the pieces I'm taking on the road.

Living Walls Albany. The city speaks. Having such
a great time here. About a dozen new street pieces over the past week. Here's my
favorites from today for my 'bling out your dead' series.

Been a while since an update. Ok, to get right to it here's
what has been happening and is about to go down. But before that check out this
photo of my girl Stone who hooked up this wall in Atlanta for Living Walls.

So
White Cocoa and I just got back from
Living Walls Atlanta. You can see some
pieces I posted on my
flickr.
I have a piece in
Brooklyn Steet Art's
"Street Art Saved My Life: 39 NY Stories".
I was in NYC for about 6 hours and serrendipitously ran into the folks of The Lower East Side Lot project.
Veng let me side-bust him, errr, maybe more like under-bust him. The opening of the project opens tomorrow
evening.
Here's the details.

I'm on my way north to
Living Walls Albany
where I'll be painting, installing, living, and curating an exhibtion of 11 artists in the
St. Joseph Cathedral. My catholic grandmother would be so proud!
Lastly, my lovely Parsons pal
Liz Filardi and I have a video in the group show
Iraqimemorial.org curated by my good friend, artist, and professor
Joe Delappe.
It all goes down on Friday, September 9, 2011, 6-8pm at the The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts at 323 West 39 Street.

So awesome to open a package and find the new book
Street Art by KET.
Even better was to open it up and have a couple pages. Big thanks!

Painted a lot last month and you can see most of it on my
flickr but
as a recap I finished up an awesome production with Veng, ChrisRWK, ECB, PEETA, and NEVER.
Across the way I made the wild mural that shows how to give an entrance as opposed to making
one. I also did a quick piece on Flushing that was featured on
Unurth. And before that
worked on an intense collaboration with
Veng
and Epahmeron at Coney Island for
No Longer Empty.
A video of the project was featured on
Wooster Collective.
Looks like I'll painting with Veng and the RWK family a lot this summer as I'm the 8th man in RWK.
If you're in the Vancouver area keep your eyes pealed for a RWK show in mid-July!

Still got to try and get a good shot of this so I won't have to photoshop out all the cars.

I'm honored to be a part of the upcoming show,
Pantheon: A history of art in the streets of NYC.
It opens April 2 at the Donnell Library (20 West 53rd Street, b/w 5th & 6th Ave.
New York, NY 10019 (across from MoMA) where it is appropriately displayed in the
windows for 24 hour a day viewings. Exhibition runs April 2-17, 2011. Lastly, I promise
to not deliberately "streetify" my framing so much next time.

Finished a new mural with
No Touching Ground called "Helping Hand". Really like the direction
this work went and excited to follow it further. You can read more about it on my blog

Headed up to Montreal for a group exhibition at
Yves Laroche Galerie.
The show has a great line up and its all works on paper curated by
Other and in conjunction
with the launch of his newest book
"Other: The artwork of Troy Lovegates.
I'm also working on a collaborative show with
Cahil Muraghu to open on Oct. 8th
at Frost Gallery in Williamsburg.

So much has happened since I last checked in so let me get right down to it. Other and I finished
our trans-european bicycle ride and the show is up now at MOHS in Copenhagen. Here is one of the
many drawings from the show. I'm also working on a mulit-media documentary of the project that should be out by
the end of July. So check back for the download.
The video 'My Piece is Still Running' is in a group exhibition at the Electronic Gallery at the Salisbury
University in Maryland and being shown July 7-10, 2010 at Les Grandes Traversees Festival just north
of Bordeaux, France and curated by Mark Jenkins.
And the new
Street Art New York(page 10-11) book by Steve & Jaime of
BSA has a nice pic of Broken Crow & I painting.

I'm counting down the days till my European departure with Other, the Markal kid. We'll
be biking from Lisbon, Portugal to Copenhagen, Denmark over a 5 week period. Currently
we have a fundraiser going for the trip where you can donate for goody packs from the
trip like postcards, pictures, and a final movie.
Check it out!

You can count on me getting super tan because I'm going to the desert. That's right,
I'll be at
Burning Man this summer with my good friends
Mark Bruels and
Lynn Maharas for our
commissioned installation GHOST TRAIN.
GHOST TRAIN is an interactive subway projection where participants use hacked spray
paint cans to create art on the passing trains with light instead of paint. What better
project for this year's Burning Man theme of "Metropolis" We made the prototype with
Processing and now have to bring in the big dogs
(AS3 / C++) for the heavy lifting.
Keep an eye out for more information and a home site for the project!
And if you're not on the playa we'll be posting pictures during the burn.

Illicit exhibitions just featured a little interview with me on their site. Check it
out and get mad anecdotal with yours truly. Ok, you got me. That was just a dare to see if it was
possible to put those two words together. Mission Accomplished.

The game Ran Some, Ransom created by
Lynn Maharas and myself for the
Come Out & Play Festival
was recently played at the
Winter Games in Berlin as part of
Invisible Playground. Thanks to the amazing
Sebastian Quack for
expanding the life of our game. Here's a
video of all the games and watch for a new Berlin version in the spring os 2010.

Liz Filardi
and I will have our submission to
Iraqi Memorial in the upcoming
exhibition at Shepard Fine Arts Gallery at University of Nevada Reno from
February 15 - March 12, 2010. The exhibition will feature over 60 of the proposals
submitted to the project - specifically those proposals that were selected by
the jurors in either the first or second juror's review process.

AnimalNY
recently posted one of my pics to the site.
Unurth
posted some of my drawings. And I wrote a new article about
Filippo Minelli
on OverUnder.

A whole bunch of new projects are in the work and I'll be posting them soon. Really stoked
to have
Unurth post two projects on the site recently (the
Nothing piece and the
Wood piece).

They've both been
making the rounds on the internet so here's a pic that isn't. Actually I like this shot a lot more
because the light is better and SVEN is such a funny name. No offense to all the Sven's reading this.
Also was on
Juxtapoz the other day. I only wish these places would tell you when they do that.
Shit is good in SF. More to come.

West To East Landscapes with Cahil Murghu makes me happy.
Feb. 28, 2009

It was only last summer that I my favorite people from
Minneapolis were visiting and we painted this mural at the Jefferson L-stop in Brooklyn. Well it looks like I'll be painting a mural with BrokenCrow at the Walker Arts Center
on May 15th. Really looking forward to this! More to come soon.

Moved into a new studio and
just got word that
