Max MSP/Jitter
A data visualization of 3 classic films using Max MSP/Jitter to understand underlying patterns
in classic cinema pertaining to plot. The program printed successive frames from the films
Jaws, The Godfather, and Casablanca every 3 seconds to try and visualize patterns.
Upon
completion of the films it was possible to view each films entirity as a mosaic chunk or a
flattened version of the whole. Each film was than easily comparable based on its visual and
created a way to view time, pattern, and rhythm elluding to possible patterns in "the classic film".
